4 forms of union supervision

Nam Dương |

Reader email ducdungxxx@gmail.com asked: What form of supervision does the union take charge of?

Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 5, Article 16 of the Trade Union Law (amended) 2024, effective from July 1, 2025, stipulates that the Trade Union's supervisory activities are carried out in the following forms:

a) Research and review documents and reports of employers, agencies and organizations under supervision;

b) Through dialogue with employers, conferences of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers according to the provisions of law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level;

c) Through the activities of the People's Inspectorate in state agencies, units and enterprises;

d) Organize a monitoring team.

Thus, the trade union presides over supervision in the above forms.
