Article 10 of the Law on forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level stipulates the tasks of this force in supporting administrative management of social order as follows:

1. Support commune-level police in grasping information about the operation of business establishments in conditional investment and business lines in terms of security and order in the area under their responsibility, in case of direct detection or receipt of information about legal violations, they must immediately report to the directly managed commune-level police.

2. Grasp population information, support commune-level police in checking population, temporary residence, and temporary absence in the area under their responsibility.

3. Propagate and mobilize agencies, organizations and people in the area in charge to declare and hand over firecrackers, weapons, explosives, and support tools according to regulations.

4. In the process of performing tasks specified in Clauses 1, 2 and 3 of this Article, if violations of the law are detected, they must immediately report to the commune-level police directly managing and supporting the commune-level police to promptly prevent them.

Thus, the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level has the task of supporting the commune-level police in checking population, temporary residence, and temporary absence in the area under their responsibility.
