Article 8 of Decree No. 363/2025/ND-CP stipulating policies to attract and value talents for the Vietnam People's Army (effective from December 31, 2025) stipulates housing policies as follows:
1. Being able to rent official residences with higher priority standards and norms compared to subjects in the same group specified in Decision No. 11/2024/QD-TTg dated July 24, 2024 of the Prime Minister on standards for area and norms for interior equipment of official residences; specifically:
a) The area and norms for interior equipment are at least equal to the regulations for Battalion Commanders, Political Commissars of Battalions and equivalents; maximum equal to the regulations for Heads, Political Commissars of General Departments, Commanders, Political Commissars of Military Regions, Military Regions, Border Guards, Deputy Admirals, Rear Admirals of the Navy and equivalents;
b) The Minister of National Defense shall consider and decide appropriately based on the rank, salary coefficient, position, title, and achievements of each subject currently applying the policy of attracting and valuing talents and public housing projects.
2. In case there is no official housing but they have to rent a house, they are supported with house rent for living; based on the actual situation, rank, position, title, and achievements, the Minister of National Defense shall consider and decide on the level of support for each subject to be appropriate.
3. Being prioritized to buy houses and residential land and being given the highest priority in the group of cadres, civil servants, and public employees who are allowed to buy social housing according to the provisions of law.
4. Priority is given to preferential loans to buy social housing from the Social Policy Bank according to the Government's regulations.
Thus, from December 31, 2025, the beneficiaries of policies to attract and value talents in the Vietnam People's Army will enjoy housing policies according to the above regulations.
