The regular university admission method in 2025 of the National Economics University is as follows:
- Direct admission
- Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam
- Combined admission:
(1) Candidates with an international SAT certificate of 1,200 points or more or an ACT of 26 points or more are granted by international organizations from June 1, 2023 to the end of the application for admission to the National High School in 2025.
Candidates taking the SAT and ACT exams need to register for the code of the National Economics University with the SAT exam organization being 7793-National Economics University and ACT being 1767-National Economics University. If candidates have taken the exam but have not registered the code of VNU-BHP, they need to re-register with the exam organization SAT or АСТ.
(2) Candidates with a Hanoi National University (HSA) competency assessment test score of 85 points or more or a Ho Chi Minh City National University (APT) competency assessment score of 700 points or more or a Hanoi University of Science and Technology (TSA) thinking assessment test score of 60 points or more or candidates with an IELTS international English certificate of 5.5 or TOEFL iBT of 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160 &W 150) or higher combined with one of the above HSA/APT/TSA exam scores.

+ IELTS/TOEFL iBT/TOEIC international English certificates are issued by international organizations from June 1, 2023 to the end of the application for admission to the National High School for the Gifted in 2025.
(3) Candidates with an IELTS international English certificate from 5.5 or TOEFL iBT from 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160 &W 150) or higher combined with the 2025 high school graduation exam score of Mathematics and 1 other English subject in the University's admission combinations. IELTS/TOEFL iBT/TOEIC international English certificates are issued by international organizations from June 1, 2023 until the end of the application for admission to the National High School for the Gifted in 2025.
The school noted that the combined admission method does not consider admission for all certificates with the exam form "home edition".

At the University of Commerce, the school enrolls students in the following ways:
1. Direct admission, priority admission
2. Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam
3. Admission based on the results of the competency assessment test, thinking assessment
4. Admission combined with foreign language certificate/international exam certificate
5. Admission combined with the Provincial/City Excellent Student Award

The 2025 admission method of the Academy of Journalism and Communication is as follows:
- Considering academic records (expected 20% of the target)
- Combined admission (expected to be 30% of the quota) for candidates with an international certificate in English equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or higher, a minimum SAT of 1,200/1,600, a TBC score of 6 semesters of high school from 7.0 or higher, and a good grade high school conduct test;
Candidates considered for admission to majors in group 1: 6th grade TBC score for high school Literature major is at least 7.0 or higher; Candidates considered for admission to Publishing major, Publishing editing major in group 1, Sociology major in group 2 and majors in group 4: 6th grade TBC score for high school English major is at least 7.0 or higher.
