Previously, on December 2, 2024, the former lawyer of the plaintiff (ie Dam Vinh Hung) submitted a request to permanently cancel the lawsuit. However, on December 16, 2024, the court allowed Dam Vinh Hung to withdraw this request at the request of the plaintiff's lawyer.
After that, Mr. Gerard Richard Williams III submitted a petition to reject the lawsuit against Dam Vinh Hung, citing the legal documents that he and the lawyer represented him in drafting.
However, singer Dam Vinh Hung's side opposed Bich Tuyen's husband's request.
This lawsuit originated on February 19, 2024, when attending a party at the mansion of Mr. Gerard Richard Williams III, singer Dam Vinh Hung jumped onto a fountain and was hit in the foot by debris from concrete.
After that, Dam Vinh Hung asked Mr. Gerard Richard Williams III - singer Bich Tuyen's husband to compensate him with an amount of about 15 million USD, causing a stir in public opinion. Singer Dam Vinh Hung accused Mr. Gerard Richard Williams III of failing to ensure the safety of guests at a party held at a mansion in Newport Coast (California, USA) in February 2024.
Singer Bich Tuyen said that she and her husband did not compromise with Dam Vinh Hung's above request. After that, the male singer requested a few other compensation figures but Bich Tuyen and her husband still refused.
