Worrying about the fear of failing university
The high school graduation exam has just ended, but for many candidates, another "exam" has really begun - waiting for scores, predicting admission scores and worried about the possibility of failing university. These days, many students are "sitting on fire" because they are afraid of not getting enough points to enter their dream major.
Hoang Thi Ha - a candidate taking the high school graduation exam in Hanoi - said that she is currently somewhat relieved of the pressure after a long time of stressful practice. However, I myself feel quite worried when waiting for the exam scores and admission scores of universities.
Ha said that he plans to register for admission to schools in the Economic sector such as the National Economics University, the Banking Academy and Foreign Trade University. I took the exam in Math, Literature, English, and Geography in the high school graduation exam.
Evaluating the exam, the female student said that the Math exam would be difficult to achieve a score above 8. Literature has an open question, creating conditions for students to express their own knowledge. The English exam is difficult and a big challenge for candidates.
Tung Duong - a candidate taking the high school graduation exam in Thanh Hoa - said that he felt very worried and depressed, not only because the exam was difficult but also because he had made subjective mistakes and had not really tried.
The male student said that he planned to register for admission to technical schools. However, with the expected points, Duong is worried about having difficulty being admitted.
Predicting the fluctuation in benchmark scores, Duong said that this year's benchmark scores may decrease but not sharply, due to the large difference in the difficulty of the exam between natural subjects and society. In addition, universities have also converted equivalent admission methods and combinations to the same standard scale.

Math and English are difficult to take high scores
Commenting on this year's Math exam, Mr. Le Van Bao - Math teacher at Tuyensinh247 - said that this year's exam level is highly differentiated, clearly shown from the second exam. The exam has a stronger differentiation compared to previous years, requiring students to be calm, read the exam carefully, and clearly understand the problem to find a suitable solution. To achieve a score of 8 or higher, candidates need to demonstrate good capacity, the ability to analyze and apply flexible knowledge.
Predicting the general score of Math, Mr. Bao said that the average score this year could be lower than last year, ranging from 6.2 to 6.5, the highest could approach 7 points.
Regarding the English exam, Ms. Tran Trieu Ha Linh - English teacher, High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities (Hanoi) - commented that the difficulty level is higher than the previous sample exam as well as there are many innovations compared to the exam last year.
Notably, the number of English questions this year has been reduced from 50 to 40, the time to do the test is reduced from 60 minutes to 50 minutes. With the actual exam, 50 minutes is too urgent, students have almost no time to review their homework.
This years English exam is really a challenge. I myself also find the questions difficult because many questions contain complex words, making it difficult for candidates to be confused and choose the correct answer" - Ms. Linh commented.
The female teacher believes that the main score for English this year will be between 6 and 6.5 points. Regarding the fluctuation in the university admission scores this year, Ms. Linh predicts that the general general general education score may decrease by about 2 points compared to last year.
Many experts also believe that with this year's exam, very few candidates can reach the threshold of 9 - 10 points, not many candidates achieve 25 points or more. Therefore, the benchmark scores of universities will tend to decrease.
