Before the announcement of exam scores and benchmark scores for 10th grade public schools for the 2026 - 2027 school year, the atmosphere of waiting is enveloping many families in Hanoi. After stressful exam days, many students said they still cannot be completely assured because the final result depends on the exam scores and benchmark scores of each school.
In Dong Anh commune (Hanoi), Chu Pham Thanh Loan - a student of Xuan Canh Secondary School - said that in recent days she has continuously followed information related to the city's 10th grade entrance exam.
Thanh Loan said that she registered her first wish to Van Noi High School, and her second wish to Phuc Thinh High School. After completing the exams, she tried to compare the answer keys to estimate her score. However, she still cannot be assured because the final result depends on the benchmark scores of each school, which are expected to be announced at the same time as the exam scores.
I have seen the answers for Math and English, so I can somewhat imagine my score. As for Literature, I find it difficult to accurately estimate my score. Now I just wait for the exam scores and official benchmark scores to be announced" - Thanh Loan shared.
According to the female student, the waiting time for the results is a fairly stressful period because many classmates regularly exchange and predict the benchmark scores of schools. This makes her and her classmates even more worried.
Not only students, many parents are also in a nervous mood. Ms. Pham Thi Thuy - a parent whose child is taking the 10th grade entrance exam this year in Hanoi - said that the whole family spent a lot of time accompanying their child throughout the final year of school.
Throughout the exam preparation time, the family tried to create the best conditions for my child to focus on studying. After the exam, I still reminded my child to take a break, not to be too stressed because the results will have to wait for official announcement. The important thing is that my child has tried her best" - Ms. Thuy expressed.
Sharing the same anxious mood of waiting for his child's exam results, Mr. Tran Van Dung - a parent in Long Bien ward (Hanoi) - said that his son registered his aspiration to a public high school with a fairly high competitiveness rate. Although he has prepared a contingency plan, the family still hopes that his child will achieve the desired aspiration after many months of hard study.
Since the exam day, he has been looking forward to the day he gets points almost every day. The whole family is also anxious no less but always encourages him to maintain a comfortable spirit, waiting for the official results. Now I just hope that all my efforts throughout the school year will be rewarded with a good result" - Mr. Dung shared.
It is expected that on June 19, Hanoi City will complete the meeting of the admission score review council to announce the exam scores and admission scores for 10th grade in 2026 at the same time.
