The exam is moderate but still ensures the classification of candidates
On June 1 - 2, more than 19,200 candidates across Thai Binh province took the entrance exam for the 10th grade of public high school for the 2025 - 2026 school year.
This year's exam, the provincial education sector organized 30 examination councils, 31 exam locations with 816 exam rooms. This is also the first year that the exam has been issued according to the 2018 general education program.
In the morning of 2.6, after completing the Literature exam, many candidates said that the exam closely followed the new program, with many practical factors, fit for students but also highly classified to serve the enrollment. Candidate Vu Van Tuan said: "I am quite interested in this year's Literature exam with the reading section understanding excerpts from the work "The Golden egg" by author Ta Duy Anh. In the social commentary section, the exam requires writing a 600-word section to propose appropriate solutions to overcome the situation where students do not fully understand the hearts of parents. I hope my test can reach 7 points or higher".
The exam that took place in the hottest northern weather from the beginning of the season has made both contestants and parents have many difficulties in moving, taking the test and waiting to take.
"This morning, I woke up very early, prepared breakfast and took my child to the exam site at 6:30 a.m., more than 1 hour before exam time. Along with encouraging children to review the subjects well, the family also creates the most comfortable mentality that can help children confidently enter this important exam. Tomorrow, I will take a specialized exam to officially close the exam, said Mr. Vu Van Dinh (residing in Phu Khanh Ward, Thai Binh City).
Prepare carefully before, during and after the exam
According to the contest councils, the work of ensuring security and order inside and outside the contest area was carried out seriously.
Ms. Ha Thi Thu Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province - said: This year, the department reviewed all preparation conditions for the admission exam, including facilities, equipment from the exam preparation stage, pageantry, exam boards, exam scoring places... to ensure safety and security.
The Department carefully studies Circular 30 of the Ministry of Education and Training on the regulations on admission to the new junior high school and high school admissions issued at the end of 2024. From there, specify with detailed and clear regulations so that units and units related to enrollment work can unify implementation.
"Before this year's exam, the Department had professional training for the team directly to take the exam, including: Inspection and examination officials; President, Vice President and Secretary of the Examination Council. In addition, the meeting thoroughly grasped the responsibilities of each individual participating in the 10th grade, in which the forecast of situations and incidents that could occur during the examination of the exam to handle," Phuong said. Ms. Phuong said.
It is known that this year's 10th grade entrance exam, the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province has also organized the selection of capable, experienced, responsible officials in all stages of the entrance exam to avoid errors and incidents.
Specifically, 3,000 cadres, teachers and staff were mobilized to perform tasks at the councils, of which, the cadres on duty alone over 2,300 people were on duty to review the exam.
At exam locations across the province, all positions in the exam council's leadership are exchanged to ensure that no one is a member of the school to create fairness and objectivity (only keep one Vice Chairman of the exam council in charge of facilities).
Along with that, the Department of Education and Training of Thai Binh province paid special attention to and reviewed the software system for enrollment and coordinated with the Provincial Police to proactively prevent, detect and prevent candidates from using high technology during the competition.
Regarding the marking work, it is expected that from June 5, the marking staff will start working. The Department of Education and Training closely coordinates with Thai Binh Provincial Police in the work of enforcement, ensuring that enforcement officers are quarantined at another location.
After the preparation, multiple-choice test scores and essay test scores will be organized at 2 different locations for selected experienced, capable and highly responsible staff and teachers.
According to the plan approved by the People's Committee of Thai Binh province, in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the whole province has 16,275 enrollment targets for public grade 10, divided into 365 classes. Of which, the target for the specialized system is 525 students. On June 3, candidates who register to take the specialized exam will take a specialized exam with a test duration of 150 minutes.
