Adjusting point conversion from foreign language certificates
This year, the Banking Academy enrolls 4,690 students for 45 training programs, an increase of 9 programs compared to last year. The school uses 4 methods including: direct admission, combined admission, based on transcripts, high school graduation exam scores.
Compared to the plan in January, the Banking Academy no longer abandons independent transcript review. However, candidates must ensure the condition of achieving 16 points in the high school graduation exam according to the combination.
With combined admission, the school combines transcripts with international certificates such as IELTS from 5.5, TOEFL iBT from 46, SAT 1,200, ACT 26, Japanese certificate JLPT N5 or higher. In addition, candidates can combine transcripts with HSA competency assessment exam scores of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (reaching 85 points or higher) or V-SAT exam scores (300 points or higher).
In the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the Banking Academy converts IELTS and foreign language certificates to English scores as follows:

Compared to last year, in the admission method based on high school graduation exam results, the conversion of points from certificates at the Banking Academy has increased: IELTS 7.0 is now calculated at 10 points instead of 9.75 as in 2025.
In 2026, Saigon University will maintain 4 stable admission methods including: direct admission, based on the results of the capacity assessment exam of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, V-SAT entrance exam scores and high school graduation exam scores. Among them, the two methods of assessing exam scores only apply to some majors.
With the V-SAT score and graduation exam score method, candidates with English certificates will be converted to scores in this subject in the admission combination.
With IELTS 4.0, candidates are converted to 7.5 points, down 0.5 compared to last year. Candidates are calculated 10 points if they have IELTS from 6.5, while previously they had to achieve IELTS 7.0 or higher.
