Investing 59 billion VND to build infrastructure for Phu Ho industrial cluster resettlement area

The Project to build infrastructure for resettlement areas to serve compensation and site clearance for Phu Ho industrial cluster, former Phu Tho town (now Phong Chau ward) was previously approved by Phu Tho town People's Committee according to Decision No. 2729/QD-UBND from October 14, 2024.

The above project belongs to group C, with a total investment of 59 billion VND. After implementing the two-level local government model, the project is currently invested by the Phong Chau Ward Project Management Board (under the People's Committee of Phong Chau Ward).

Belonging to the project, Package No. 05: Construction and installation of the project has completed contractor selection and construction from the end of 2025 to date.

According to the decision approving the contractor selection results, Gia Bao Construction Service Co., Ltd. is the enterprise that won Package No. 05 with a price of nearly 37.2 billion VND, the implementation time of the package is 360 days.

Records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters in early April show that the land for infrastructure construction in the resettlement area is adjacent to the asphalt road in zone 5, old Phu Ho commune (now Phong Chau ward).

It can be seen that the foundation excavation and filling work is being carried out, with excavators and rollers operating, trucks continuously entering and leaving to dump organic soil as well as dump filling soil.

Previously, this place was a rice land area of people, so the volume of organic soil was quite large. The construction unit will dig and dump this volume of soil, then refill it with soil according to standards and proceed to compact the ground.

According to the technical requirements in the bidding documents, Package No. 05 for the construction of the resettlement area has an area of about 5.1ha, the items: Leveling, traffic road system; water supply and drainage; electrical system and technical works, auxiliary items... are designed synchronously.

Mr. Hoang Thach Tu - a resident of Zone 5 - shared: "My family has about more than 1,000m2 of agricultural land that has been recovered to build a resettlement area, I personally agree and support it because if the state builds an industrial cluster, people will have jobs and the future of their homeland will develop".

According to a representative of the Phong Chau Ward Project Management Board, the investor will regularly urge the contractor to accelerate the project construction progress, and at the same time strengthen inspection and supervision, ensuring construction complies with designs as well as legal regulations.
