Enrollment in 2026: Many schools consider admissions through competency and thinking assessment tests

To date, many universities have announced their expected enrollment plans for 2026, in which admission based on competency and thinking assessment exam scores is widely used.

The Academy of Public Administration and Management has just announced the enrollment plan for the regular university system expected in 2026.

Regarding the admission method, the school plans to consider admission by the following methods:

- Method 1: Admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2026

- Method 2: Admission based on high school academic results (class records)

- Method 3: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training

- Method 4: Combined admission (combining items a, b with high school transcripts):

a) Results of the competency assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City organized in 2026

b) International English Certificate

The school plans to consider admission by the following combinations: A00, A01, A07, C00, C03, C04, D01, D07, D10... Specifically as follows:

The expected regular university admission method for 2026 of the University of Economics and Law (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) is as follows:

Method 1: Direct admission and priority direct admission according to the enrollment regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (maximum 5%)

Method 2: General admission (Performance assessment test scores, High school graduation exam scores, transcript scores...)

- Subject 1: Candidates who participate in the 2026 National University of Ho Chi Minh City competency assessment exam

- Subject 2: Candidates who do not participate in the 2026 National University of Ho Chi Minh City competency assessment exam

- Subject 3: Candidates who do not participate in the 2026 high school graduation exam (graduated)

- Subject 4: Candidates with international admission certificates such as: international baccalaureate (IB), A-level, SAT, ACT.

For Ba Ria - Vung Tau University, the school also uses the results of competency assessment exams from universities for admission. Specific admission methods for 2026 are as follows:

- Method 1: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;

- Method 2: Admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam;

- Method 3: High school transcript admission;

- Method 4: Admission based on the results of competency assessment exams

- Method 5: General admission combined with multiple criteria.
