Actor Bao Bao, runner-up of Laughing Across Vietnam 2020, is currently in critical condition. According to information from colleagues, doctors diagnosed him with meningitis.

On September 12, the information that actor Bao Bao (Bao Bao Nguyen) was hospitalized in critical condition caused many colleagues and audiences to worry.

According to shares from artist Binh Tinh and People's Artist Huu Quoc, actor Bao Bao is currently being treated at the Emergency Department of Cerebral Vascular Diseases, People's Hospital 115 (HCMC). Colleagues said that the male actor appeared with convulsions and cyanosis. Doctors are monitoring and performing necessary check-ups, initially suspecting meningitis or tuberculosis.

Images of Bao Bao lying on a hospital bed, having respiratory support and attached many monitoring devices made colleagues heartbroken. Artist Binh Tinh was present at the hospital, along with his family taking care of procedures and treatment for the male actor.

Faced with Bao Bao's difficult family circumstances and treatment costs considered to be quite high, members of Huynh Long troupe joined hands to support. Artists Huu Quoc, Thai Vinh, Le Thao and many colleagues such as Dinh Phong, Mai Ka, Lieu Nguyen Tri Tue, Thanh Hoang... contributed funds, hoping Bao Bao would have more conditions to overcome the dangerous period.

Bao Bao is a familiar face to Southern stage audiences. He studied acting at artist Minh Nhi's drama stage and graduated with honors. The male actor is currently the main personnel of Truong Hung Minh's drama stage.

He once shared that he was trained from the stage and considers Minh Nhi as a teacher who has a great influence on his career path.

Bao Bao's name became more known to many audiences when he won the runner-up title of Laughing Across Vietnam 2020. After the competition, he continued to operate in many fields such as drama, gameshows, movies and cai luong. Bao Bao once appeared in the movie "The road home is too far".

Notably, Bao Bao has a long-term predestined relationship with Cai Luong. He once said that since 2017 he has joined Huynh Long's troupe, both studying and performing with artist Binh Tinh. Despite coming from spoken drama and comedy, the male actor still built his own audience when participating in Cai Luong plays.

Before encountering health problems, Bao Bao still maintained his performing career. He once confided that he was lucky to have continuous work even though he was not a big name, and wanted to stick with the stage for a long time.

Currently, Bao Bao's health status is receiving attention from many artists, colleagues and audiences. New information about the male actor's illness is still being awaited by his family and colleagues from the doctor.
