More than 1 month before the 2026 Lunar New Year, the information that People's Artist Quoc Khanh will not participate in the program "Tao Quan - Year-End Meeting" caused audiences to stir. According to sources confirming, the male artist is busy with his own schedule so he cannot participate in this year's "Tao season".
The unexpected absence of People's Artist Quoc Khanh makes many people suspect that the program will not be produced. Because up to now, there is no information about the participating artists as well as the training schedule and broadcast of Tao Quan 2026.

Previously, the role of the Jade Emperor of People's Artist Quoc Khanh has gone deep into the hearts of audiences through each "Tao Quan" season. He is also the only person attached to "Tao Quan" for more than 20 years, since 2004.
Even in 2024, when the Tao cast had a strong change with many young faces, Quoc Khanh still stayed alone even though he had retired, holding the role of "holding the scales" in the Heavenly Court.
Completely different from the image of the powerful Jade Emperor on stage, in real life NSND Quoc Khanh chose a very simple, private life for himself. After his mother passed away in 2017, he lived alone in a small private room in the heart of the Capital.
He considers himself a popular artist, likes to dress simply, does not use branded clothes and is discreet in front of the media. He does not use social networks, rarely answers interviews and is always outside the noise of the entertainment industry.

Talking about being single at the age of U70, "Ngoc Hoang" once sincerely shared: "I choose a free life because I don't want to be bound by responsibility when starting a family. Marrying a wife not only requires love but also bears many responsibilities. Each person has their own thoughts, I don't need to follow anyone's standards, just live happily and comfortably is enough".
He confided that he does not want anyone to suffer disadvantages or hardship when associating his life with an artist with a separate lifestyle like him.
After retiring in 2022, his health gradually weakened, NSND Quoc Khanh appeared less on stage. However, the male artist still accepted to participate in some roles on suitable drama or television drama stages.
When not performing, his joy is simply moments of gathering and chatting with friends and close colleagues.
People's Artist Quoc Khanh was born in 1962, is originally from Hanoi, grew up in a simple civil servant family. The predestined relationship with art came early when in 1978, just after finishing 10th grade, he passed the first actor training course of the Vietnam National Drama Theatre, opening a journey of more than four decades of attachment to theater and cinema.
From his first roles such as "The Lost Soldier", "The Farewell in June", Quoc Khanh gradually affirmed his mark through many films and television works loved by audiences. The role of Go in "Ha Dong Silk Dress" brought him the Golden Kite Award in 2006, recognizing his diverse transformation ability, from everyday humor to tragic fates. However, the image of the Jade Emperor in "Tao Quan - Year-End Meeting" is still the deepest mark, becoming an irreplaceable "brand".
In 2022, NSND Quoc Khanh retired after more than 40 years of attachment to the Vietnam National Drama Theatre.
