Velvet red" ranked No. 1 in the vinyl category at Fnac - one of the leading prestigious retail chains in Europe. Not only V's products, group versions of the Arirang album such as B&W or Color Deluxe also simultaneously appeared in the Top 10, showing the heat of BTS's upcoming comeback.
Notably, the LP version of V continuously fell into a shortage situation right from the pre-opening stage. In the US, the product quickly sold out at the Target system and the Weverse Shop platform. In Japan, "Velvet red" is the only personal version to enter the two rankings "Most Sold" and "Outstanding Product" on Amazon Japan, while maintaining strong purchasing power on e-commerce platforms such as Rakuten or Qoo10.
In the domestic Korean market, this album also recorded impressive achievements when it topped the weekly best-selling chart on the Naver Store just one day after opening pre-orders. The "sold out" situation occurred simultaneously in many countries and territories, from Asia to Europe and North America, showing great demand from global fans.
Experts believe that this phenomenon continues to consolidate the so-called "effect V" - when each individual product of BTS members creates a strong spread in the music and commercial markets.
According to the plan, BTS will officially release the album "Arirang" on March 20, marking their return after a long absence. Immediately after that, the group will organize a live performance event at Gwanghwamun Square (Seoul) on March 21, in combination with a city-scale project called "BTS The city Arirang Seoul".
