On March 18, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a social criticism conference on the draft Resolution stipulating the level of support for preschool children who are children of workers and laborers working in industrial parks; preschool teachers working in private and semi-public preschool education institutions where industrial parks are located in the province.
At the conference, delegates focused on contributing opinions on content related to the level of support for preschool children who are workers, as well as policies for teachers at private and semi-public facilities. Many opinions suggested that it is necessary to calculate according to reality.
Accordingly, the level of support needs to be determined based on current childcare costs, while ensuring the lives and incomes of preschool teachers. A reasonable adjustment will contribute to stabilizing human resources and improving the quality of childcare.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Oanh - Vice President of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - said that she agreed with the draft Resolution, and at the same time proposed to study and promulgate regulations in a specific direction suitable to the actual conditions of the locality.
Specifically, Ms. Oanh proposed that the drafting unit propose to the state management agency to study and balance the provincial budget capacity, and continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council for consideration of increasing the level of support for beneficiaries to a level suitable to current conditions.
Accordingly, it is proposed to increase the support level for preschool children who are children of workers from 160,000 VND/month to 300,000 VND/month; and at the same time increase the support level for preschool teachers from 800,000 VND/month to 1.2 million VND/month to contribute to ensuring life.
According to the Appraisal Council (HĐPB), it is unanimously recognized that adjustments in a specific direction are necessary to meet practical needs, contributing to retaining teachers and improving the quality of care and education for children in industrial parks with many workers.
Based on the counter-arguments, the Advisory Council fully absorbed the comments, requesting the drafting unit to review and statistically analyze the data enjoyed in the past and forecast the coming time to complete the content before submitting it to competent authorities for consideration and promulgation, ensuring feasibility and effectiveness when implemented in practice.
The opinions at the conference will be summarized by the Social Advisory Council of the Provincial Labor Federation and sent to functional agencies for research and completion of the draft Resolution, contributing to ensuring policies when promulgated are practical and better care for the lives of workers.
