The Road to Olympia program has been 25 years old, since it first aired in 1999. Among the participating candidates, there are faces that make the audience remember their names, but there are also many who have not left their mark on the show.
Among them, we can mention Dr. Ho Ngoc Minh from Thanh Hoa, who participated in the 10th Road to Olympia (2009). The male student from Dao Duy Tu High School stopped at the round of exams in the first week, February, and first quarter with 115 points, without the opportunity to go far.
Recently, at the 25th anniversary of the Road to Olympia, Dr. Ho Ngoc Minh appeared and shared about his current life. He said: "The day I went to Olympia, people had high expectations of me. When I failed in the round of the week, it was quite shocking. But the most uncomfortable feeling is disappointing others because they have too much expectation of themselves."
Although not an outstanding contestant of the Road to Olympia, after the competition, Doctor Ho Ngoc Minh studied hard and achieved many outstanding achievements. Currently, he is one of the skilled sports doctors in Vietnam.
Ho Ngoc Minh graduated from Hanoi Medical University with a major in general medicine in 2016. He then went to Japan to receive intensive training in injuries at Osaka City University Hospital.
From October to November 2018, Ngoc Minh studied in-depth Sports Medicine at Seoul National University Hospital in Korea. In January 2022, the male doctor went to the US for basic training in Exercise Analysis at the Mayo Clinic.
During the period from October 2016 to April 2021, in addition to improving his expertise, the doctor born in 1993 worked at the Orthopedic Trauma Department of Xanh Pon General Hospital, Hanoi.
Having moved to the new environment since 2021, Ngoc Minh took on the position of Labor Executive Director - Motion Lab Department, Doctor of Internal Medicine and Arthritis and Sports Medicine of the Orthopedic Trauma Center - Sports Medicine, Lecturer of Orthopedic Trauma (Vinmec General Hospital).
Ho Ngoc Minh said that he majored in sports medicine and originated from an injury while playing football in college. After a period of studying, he decided that he was suitable to become a surgeon specializing in sports medicine.
