The Korea Business Reputation Institute has just announced the singer brand reputation ranking for December, attracting great attention from the public and the media. The ranking is built on big data, analyzing consumer engagement, media coverage, interaction and community awareness index for artists in the month.
According to the announced results, BTS continued to maintain the No. 1 position, leading the singer brand reputation chart for the third consecutive month. Followed by Lim Young Woong in 2nd place and IVE in 3rd place, creating the top 3 with the greatest influence in December.
In the following positions, Hwa Sa (MAMAMOO) ranked 4th, BLACKPINK ranked 5th, Stray Kids held 6th and Seventeen ranked 7th. The remaining positions in the top 10 respectively belonged to Kim Yong Bin (ranked 8), Park Ji Hyun (ranked 9) and EXO (ranked 10). This list shows the balance between idol artists and strongly influential solo voices in the Korean music market.
Notably, BTS not only maintained the leading position in December but also showed persistent attraction even though the members are in the stage of personal activity and military service. Meanwhile, Lim Young Woong continues to affirm his position as one of the leading solo singers in Korea when maintaining his position in the top 3 for three consecutive months, reflecting a loyal fan base and stable level of love from the public.
In addition to the top 10, the December chart also recorded the presence of many other prominent artists in the top 30, including Lee Chan Won, ILLIT, LE SSERAFIM, Big Bang, TWICE, Park Seo Jin, aespa, BABYMONSTER, Young Tak, Han Roro, BOYNEXTDOOR, J.Y. Park, CORTIS, TWS, KiiiKiii, Hearts2Hearts, Jang Yoon Jung, Zo Zazz, Red Velvet and NMIXX. The diversity of generations and musical styles shows that the K-pop and Korean music markets in general are still maintaining strong vitality.
