Talking about the cost of treatment, she said: "Previously, I had my husband examined and treated at a private hospital, so the cost was very expensive. Now that I have purchased health insurance, the cost is less. Every month, I spend more than 1 million VND to take care of his illness."
When the reporter asked about the family's economic conditions, Ms. Duoc said that she is currently living on help from benefactors or someone from her family or relatives that she contributed to treat the male singer's illness.
Singer To Thanh Phuong, born in 1961, has been in the arts since she was 15 years old. He won the National Gold Medal at the Professional Music and Dance Performance Festival in 1985, the National Light Music Star award in 1989.
