Mapo District Police (Seoul, South Korea) have closed the investigation related to Min Hee Jin's complaint against some officials of the Western Seoul Regional Labor Office, concluding that there are no signs of crime and the file has not been transferred to the prosecuting agency.
Former ADOR CEO - Min Hee Jin accused some inspectors of forging official documents, using fake documents and irresponsibility in the investigation of the workplace harassment case related to her.
The controversy originated in August 2024, when a former ADOR employee, called A, sent a complaint to the labor agency. This person claimed that he was insulted by Min Hee Jin during his work.
In addition, A also accused another leader of ADOR, called B - who is said to have a close relationship with Min Hee Jin - of harassment at work. According to the content of the petition, after A reflected the incident, Min Hee Jin stood up to protect B and tried to cover up the incident.
In March this year, the labor agency concluded that some of Min Hee Jin's statements could cause mental harm, damage the working environment and have sufficient grounds to determine workplace harassment. In her role as a employer, she was also accused of not conducting objective investigations, thereby being administratively sanctioned.
Disagreeing with the above conclusion, Min Hee Jin said that investigators misrecorded the time in KakaoTalk messages, making the investigation documents reflect untrue developments. She also affirmed that she was not facilitated to fully explain each alleged content.
However, the investigating officer explained to the police that the errors in the timeline were just an unintended record error, not an act of intentionally falsifying the file.
After the review process, the police determined that the investigation documents had some errors in context and timing, but there was no evidence that the content was fabricated or distorted Min Hee Jin's testimony. The investigating agency also concluded that the explanations from her lawyers had been received and considered before making a handling decision.
