I have a Thai friend, he gave me a Thai music tape to listen to. When I listened to it, I really liked this song. My friend translated the lyrics into English for me, then I rewrote it into Vietnamese. Luckily, this song was a hit.
Among the typical cassette tapes brought to the program, MC Minh Duc revealed a tape that had a strong appeal in the career of the famous female singer, called "Khong dan dau".
At that time, this tape was the "best seller" of her and the entire cassette tape industry in our country.
Ngoc Anh proudly said: “The tape sold so well that I didn’t have any myself to give to my friends. The tape was reprinted countless times, and that was my year of great victory.”
That record-breaking tape helped Ngoc Anh win the award for “Most Favorite Singer of the Year”.
When mentioning famous singer Ngoc Anh, audiences know her best in pop music, but she also tries her hand at many different genres of music, including folk music.
She confided: “Actually, I really love country music. God gave me a voice that can sing the pentatonic melodies of Southern or Central Vietnamese folk music. I can sing them all. Therefore, after the great success of “Khong danh dau”, I asked to sing “Chiec ao ba ba”, a famous song by Tran Thien Thanh”.
