Sharing after completing the Head to Head Challenge, Bao Ngoc said that she did not put too much pressure on herself about the results. The Vietnamese representative was satisfied because she fully presented the story and conveyed the messages she wanted to bring to Miss World 2026.
I have said everything I wanted to say, so I have no regrets. I am satisfied with the results of Top 20 Head to Head Challenge and Top 5 regions," Bao Ngoc shared.
According to the beauty, Head to Head Challenge is not simply a competition for contestants to compete for rankings. This is also a space for each representative to tell their story, talk about social issues they are interested in and introduce their community activities journey.
Bao Ngoc said some of the contestants' stories moved her. She felt that they appeared not only to compete or win high prizes but really wanted to speak out their hearts, bringing the issues of the community closer to international audiences.
In the group stage competition, the representative of Vietnam chose the theme of climate change, connecting global warnings with the situation in the Mekong Delta - where she was born.
Bao Ngoc mentioned the risk of sea level rise for low-lying island nations in the Pacific Ocean, and also talked about landslides, affecting fields and livelihoods of Vietnamese people.
According to her, climate change is not only an environmental issue but also related to fairness between generations. Children and young people do not create crises but are at risk of long-term consequences from issues left by previous generations.
From that reality, Bao Ngoc introduced Gen Zero - a project she built and pursued for more than six years. Through the VN Youth Climate Empowerment Pathway program, the project was introduced to have reached more than two million young people and equipped climate negotiation skills for 15,000 young leaders.
The project also contributes to bringing representatives of Vietnamese youth to international climate forums. Bao Ngoc emphasized that the goal is not to stop at raising awareness but to provide tools for young people to participate in dialogue, propose initiatives and contribute to policy making.
The performance helped Bao Ngoc enter the group of 20 outstanding contestants of Head to Head Challenge, and also be present in the Top 5 in Asia - Oceania region.
In the next competition round, representative of Philippines Asia Rose Simpson won the regional title and received a direct ticket to the Top 40 Miss World 2026. The remaining three representatives who won special prizes are Julia Kühnle of Germany, Georgia-Lee Gill of Trinidad & Tobago and Romanda Hombir of South Africa.
The four regional winners will continue to compete for the Head to Head Winner title. The highest winner of the competition is specially admitted to the Top 20 Miss World 2026.
Although not winning a ticket to continue from Head to Head Challenge, Bao Ngoc believes that this experience helps her understand more about the project, starting point and issues that other contestants are pursuing.
Before the Head to Head Challenge, the representative of Vietnam entered the Top 60 of the Fashion Beauty contest. Bao Ngoc said that she will maintain a comfortable mentality, continue to focus on activities and the remaining competition at Miss World 2026.
