Vietnamese stars sold out when doing international shows
Singer Ha Anh Tuan's live concert "Sketch A Rose" at Dolby Theater, USA on October 18 has officially sold out after 24 hours of opening for sale with 3,400 tickets to the audience.
This once again affirms the special appeal of the musical mission that Ha Anh Tuan and his colleagues have been pursuing: The musical journey is created from good things, beautiful ideas and the belief that Vietnamese music can be completely built in iconic spaces of world art.
Sketch A Rose marks the first time a music night of a Vietnamese artist took place at the Dolby Theater - the sacred place of Hollywood cinema, which welcomes millions of audiences around the world every year at the prestigious Oscar awards ceremony.
Ha Anh Tuan shared: "Sketch A Rose" has been my incubation for a long time. This project is exactly what I did for myself, satisfying all the worries and doubts I had never confided to anyone.
Like since I was a child, I have never dreamed of becoming a singer, but I often imagine what I would be like if I stood on stage at iconic theaters around the world. And now when I thought everything was safe and peaceful for my career, I chose the more difficult thing to pursue. That is to realize what I had imagined. Most importantly, I want to end the journey of Sketch A Rose at Dolby Theater with many dreams to send to Vietnamese music, for Vietnamese music lovers.
Before Ha Anh Tuan, the artists of "Anh trai say hi" held a concert in Las Vegas, USA. The two concert nights at the Hollywood planet Theater (more than 7,000 seats) on July 27 and 28, 2025, were full for both nights despite high ticket prices (3.9 million to 65 million VND).
The revenue after an hour of ticket sales for the concert Anh trai say hi in the US reached 1.5 million USD on Ticketmaster, a new record for Vietnamese artists debuting in the US.
Meanwhile, My Tam's 2024 live show "My soul 1981: My soul in USA" in the US also attracted an equal audience. Taking place on December 22, 2024, all tickets for My Tam's live show were sold out within just 1 hour since opening for sale, despite the low price (100 - 300 USD/ticket). My Tam shared that she was extremely excited to receive a warm welcome from the American audience - mainly overseas Vietnamese and international fans.
