On the afternoon of April 27, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong - General Director of the opening art program of Ha Long Carnival 2026 - and members of the Organizing Committee of the program inspected and evaluated the progress of implementing work items, and agreed on program organization plans.
According to the plan, the opening art program (concert) of Ha Long Carnival 2026 with the theme "Ha Long Carnival 2026 - A Wonder that Shines the New Era", opening the summer tourism season, will be the most grand-scale concert among the concerts held in Quang Ninh.
The concert starts at 8 pm, April 30, at 30/10 Square (Ha Long ward, Quang Ninh province) with the highly anticipated music stars including: My Tam, Tung Duong, Minh Tuyet... It is expected that about 80,000 people will attend this concert.
With a sophisticated and professionally invested art space, combining modern performing arts and the cultural identity of the sea and Coal region; designed to maximize interaction between performers and viewers, honoring the beauty of the heritage land and affirming the vitality of a destination that is rising strongly in the new era, the program promises to create a fresh and vibrant summer festival space.
In particular, to make this year's Ha Long Carnaval truly a street dance, the experience space is expanded from the main stage to Tran Quoc Nghien street, with a total performance distance of nearly 1 km.
The parade activities start from 6:30 PM, with the participation of 14 domestic art troupes, each troupe including 50 amateur actors and 10 - 20 professional actors; 1 international art troupe; 16 theme cars; 170 people from the lion and dragon dance troupe; 80 people from the drum troupe; 100 professional dancers; 10 beauty queens, runners-up of beauty contests; 50 models and 450 extras...
On Tran Quoc Nghien street, the Organizing Committee also arranged large-sized LED screen systems, serving people to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Carnival.
Careful and thorough preparation along with many innovations in content and form, Ha Long Carnival 2026 promises to bring a musical space with lively, attractive and largest-scale street dances ever.
The opening art program of Ha Long Carnival 2026 with the theme "Ha Long Carnival 2026 - Wonders illuminate the new era" will be broadcast live from 8 pm on April 30 on VTV1, VTV8, VTV9, VTV Go channels of Vietnam Television. The street parade part will be broadcast live on the platforms of Quang Ninh Newspaper and Radio - Television from 6:30 pm on April 30.
