Previously, at the regular Government press conference in March 2025, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh informed about product advertising activities on social networks for celebrities, singers, and artists.
According to Mr. Le Hai Binh, in the process of supplementing and amending the Advertising Law, the Ministry plans to add a number of specific items related to celebrities participating in advertising. Advertisers must be responsible for transparently and specifically verifying the products they have advertised for.
It is expected to increase sanctions related to penalties or prohibitions from advertising; limit artistic activities and appearances in media and social networks.
