On April 19, along with a series of key projects across the country, Ba Ria - Vung Tau also held groundbreaking ceremonies - inauguration of 4 key projects in the area to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.
Attending the meeting in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province were General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense, leaders, cadres, and former leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province through the periods.
On this occasion, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province organized technical traffic projects component 3 Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. This is an important transport project that helps to exploit the potential and advantages of the locality; Reduce pressure on Highway 51 to circulate goods smoothly, maximize the maximum exploitation of Cai Mep - Thi Vai seaport, connect traffic to the southern key economic region.
The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Component 3 project started on June 18, 2023, and has completed the technical traffic conditions after nearly 2 years of construction. The entire route is 19.5km long from Km34+200 of To Dinh Nguyet Street, Phuoc Binh Commune (Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province, bordering Ba Ria - Vung Tau) to the National Highway 56 intersection in Hoa Long Commune (Ba Ria City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), with a total investment of more than VND 6,700 billion.
In addition, the province also organizes the technical opening of the road section from Nha Lon (Long Son commune, Vung Tau city) to National Highway 51 and Cua Lap 2 bridge under the Vung Tau - Binh Thuan coastal road project (DT 994); organizes the inauguration of the Con Dao Military-Civilian Medical Center with a total investment of more than 247 billion VND.

At the same time, Ba Ria - Vung Tau also organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the road project connecting to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. This project has a total length of about 16.5km from National Highway 56 (intersection with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway) to Cua Lap Bridge rotation (Vung Tau City), divided into 3 component projects, with a total investment of about 13,900 billion VND.
The above works are all national or Ba Ria - Vung Tau key projects; have great significance as well as a positive impact when put into operation, meeting the requirements of local and Socio-economic development in the Southeast region.
