Miss Thuy Lam's real name is Nguyen Thuy Trang, born in 1987 in Thai Binh, now Hung Yen province. She was a singer and actress before becoming the beauty crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2008, then in the top 15 Miss Universe organized in the same year.
