On the evening of July 9, the Vietnam - Japan Festival in Da Nang City 2026 officially opened at Bien Dong Park, opening a series of cultural exchange activities, investment promotion and cooperation connection between Da Nang and Japanese localities and businesses. The festival takes place until the end of July 12 with many programs for people and tourists.
This is an annual foreign affairs event held since 2014 and has become one of the typical Vietnam - Japan exchange activities of the whole country. This year, the festival continues to aim to strengthen cooperation in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, education, science - technology and people-to-people exchange.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee, said that this year's festival takes place at a time when Da Nang enters a new stage of development with a large development space and many important specific mechanisms and policies. On the foundation of cultural, historical and human values nurtured through many generations, the city is affirming the image of a dynamic, hospitable, culturally rich coastal city and increasingly deeply integrated with the international community.
The Vietnam - Japan Festival has become a typical foreign affairs event of Da Nang, contributing to strengthening the increasingly strong cooperative relationship between the city and localities and Japanese partners.
Not only is it an opportunity for two cultures to meet and spread traditional and modern values, the Festival is also an important bridge for localities, businesses, organizations and people of the two countries to strengthen understanding, expand cooperation and move towards sustainable development values," Ms. Thi emphasized.

In addition to cooperation and connection activities, the Festival brings a unique cultural, commercial and tourism space with nearly 100 booths and many attractive art and experience programs.
