On January 31, Hai Chau Ward People's Committee (Da Nang City) organized the Vietnamese Tet Festival - Binh Ngo 2026, celebrating the success of the 14th National Party Congress, celebrating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026) and welcoming the traditional Lunar New Year of the nation.
The event is chaired by the Public Service Service Center of Hai Chau ward, in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, professional departments, Youth Union, school system in the area and the ward's Business Association. The Tet Festival is also accompanied by the Farmers' Association and businesses of Hung Son commune (Tay Giang district, former Quang Nam province), calligraphy clubs and many cultural and artistic units.
The Vietnamese Tet Festival space is designed with a strong traditional identity, vividly recreating the old Tet atmosphere, attracting thousands of people and tourists to participate and experience.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Duy - Chairman of Hai Chau Ward People's Committee emphasized that in the development flow of Da Nang city, the Vietnamese Tet Festival is a practical activity to celebrate important political events of the country, and at the same time is an invitation for people and tourists to jointly preserve and spread traditional cultural values in a warm and meaningful community space.
The highlight of the Vietnam Tet Festival - Binh Ngo 2026 is 6 Tet spaces implemented by 12 public primary schools in the area, built with traditional materials such as bamboo, rattan, paper, fabric... recreating the Tet reunion space with apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, red couplets, Dong Ho paintings, activities of wrapping banh chung, arranging five-fruit trays, thereby educating the young generation about the profound meaning of traditional Tet - Spring reunion, Tet gathering.
Besides, there are unique spaces such as Calligraphy "Spring Colors on the Street", "Village Market on the Street" with traditional cakes and jams, OCOP products, regional specialties; rustic culinary area in the style of street vendors; fashion space, Tet decoration, spring photography and familiar folk games.
The Tet festival also organizes traditional costume performances, the art competition "Melody of Spring - Proud to follow in the footsteps", check-in spaces with brilliant spring colors, contributing to creating cultural and tourism highlights on the festival axis on both banks of the Han River.
Notably, at this year's Vietnamese Tet Festival, there is also a 0-dong booth, giving gifts to poor households, households in difficult circumstances, and policy families, showing the spirit of humanity, not leaving anyone behind during Tet and Spring.
The Vietnam Tet Festival - Binh Ngo 2026 in Hai Chau ward not only contributes to enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the people, but also gradually affirms the Hai Chau - Da Nang brand as a unique festival and event destination, a place where tradition and modernity harmoniously intersect in the heart of the city.
