On January 6, the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province said that, according to 2025 statistics, Gia Lai's export turnover reached about 3.44 billion USD, exceeding nearly 19.7% compared to the annual plan and increasing by 14.7% compared to 2024.
In that structure, agricultural exports account for a large proportion with many key commodities such as coffee, bananas, passion fruit, noodles, rice... affirming the foundational role of agriculture in the province's economic development.
Currently, Gia Lai agricultural products are present in nearly 60 countries and territories, including many markets that require high quality and technical standards such as the European Union (EU), the United States, and Japan.
In 2025, the coffee industry continues to play a leading role when export turnover reaches about 1.5 billion USD. Gia Lai is currently leading the Central Highlands region in terms of passion fruit area with about 5,650 ha, with an estimated output of over 210 thousand tons/year.
