From a sharp, modern image in previous projects, when transitioning to transforming into a woman with inner depth and having to endure breakdown, do you feel a lot of pressure?
- This new type of role and my previous characters are two completely different worlds, without common ground. The inner life of this character is much more complex and heavy. However, I entered the first days of filming with the most confidence and careful preparation.
As a young unmarried girl in real life, where do you get the material to understand the tragedy of being betrayed and the pain of a woman facing a broken marriage?
- Actually, I am not looking for real-life role models or learning from other films. I completely imagine myself and use personal experience to put myself in the character's situation. I believe that if I fall into such a betrayal tragedy in real life, I will also be in pain and react exactly the same way.
Regarding performance techniques, I often let go of emotions but still maintain a certain control according to the process to ensure role-playing. That is my own working method.
In the role of a married woman, older than you in real life, what have you prepared from styling to acting?
- That's right, at first the director was quite worried because he was afraid that my appearance would not yet exude the mature demeanor of a married woman with 10 years of experience in the business world.
Due to limited filming conditions, actors often have to prepare many things themselves. To focus on acting, I assign costumes to stylists. Regarding styling, after many experiments, the crew agreed to choose a long curled hairstyle with a high bun. This hairstyle helps me look older, and also shows the personality of a woman who is obsessed with work, dynamic and decisive.
The TV actor profession sometimes does not bring too high income if it is purely acting. Currently, are the income from art enough for you to be financially self-sufficient and have a comfortable life according to your wishes?
- Previously, my income from filming fees was not even enough to buy costumes for the characters, I had to do many other jobs to cover expenses. Currently, the job is much more favorable. Current income helps me have a comfortable, self-reliant life and be free to work according to my preferences without being burdened by economic pressure.
Fame is inherently a double-edged sword, there are fans who love it, but there are also anti-fans with impolite comments. I choose to face them directly and enjoy my career journey. Now, what I pursue is no longer fame or money, but the value of each role.
It is known that you were previously opposed by your father when pursuing art?
- My father once wanted me to have a stable State job because he was afraid that acting was hard and complicated. The opposition at that time completely stemmed from the worry of a father. Therefore, I always tried to prove my ability so that he could be reassured.
My father was originally an introverted person, very afraid of crowds, but at the movie premiere press conference that day, he broke the rule to appear to cheer for his daughter. My father's presence at that event was the warmest answer, the great recognition he gave to the path I have chosen.
