On July 28, 2025, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 3rd National Press Award "For the development of Vietnamese culture" signed and issued Plan No. 3712/KH-BTCGBC on organizing the Award.
The plan clearly states: The 3rd National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese culture" organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of collectives, individuals, and the team of journalists to the cause of developing Vietnamese culture.
Through the Award, the results and achievements of cultural work, information, family, sports and tourism are introduced and promoted. At the same time, discovered advanced models in the fields of culture, information, family, sports and tourism; encouraged and motivated cadres in the whole industry to join hands and continue to contribute more to the development of Vietnamese culture.
Create conditions for journalists to exchange professional and technical experiences, contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of information and journalism activities in the fields of culture, information, family, sports and tourism.
In the Plan, the Deputy Minister requested the 3rd National Press Award "For the development of Vietnamese culture" to ensure compliance with the Party's viewpoints, policies, and guidelines, and the State's policies and laws on press management.
In addition, the Award must ensure democracy, publicity, transparency, and correctly evaluate excellent journalism written in the fields of culture, information, family, sports and tourism.
The Deputy Minister also requested that the Award must be organized economically, solemnly, and honor the profession of journalism and journalists.
Notably, the Plan has adjusted the time for posting and receiving the Award work.
Accordingly, the 3rd National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese culture" is accompanied by Decision No. 2513/QD-BTCGBC dated July 21, 2025 of the Head of the Organizing Committee of the Award, the time to publish the work is from June 16, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
The time to receive the work is until July 31, 2025 (according to the postmark).
The Award Ceremony is expected to be held in Hanoi on October 20, 2025.
In order to meet the wishes and aspirations of reporters and journalists, press agencies have more time to prepare works, creating conditions for authors to fully reflect the important events of the country as well as the culture, sports and tourism industry, the Organizing Committee of the 3rd National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese culture" has decided to adjust the time of posting and distributing; time for receiving works and the expected awards ceremony as follows:
Time for posting and distributing works in various types of press: From June 16, 2024 to July 31, 2025.
Time to receive the work (according to the postmark): Until August 10, 2025.
The 3rd National Press Award Ceremony "For the Development of Vietnamese Culture" is scheduled to be held in Hanoi on October 30, 2025.
In addition to the adjusted contents as stated above, other contents are still in accordance with the Traditional Committee of the 3rd National Press Award "For the Development of Vietnamese Culture" along with Decision No. 2513/QD-BTCGBC dated July 21, 2025 of the Head of the Organizing Committee of the Award as announced.
