Coach Kim Sang-sik hopes that the U23 Vietnam players will improve their experience and abilities after winning the U23 Southeast Asian Championship.

U23 Vietnam won 1-0 against U23 Indonesia in a dramatic final match. The only goal was scored in the 37th minute, when Cong Phuong finished coolly after a corner kick combination between Ly Duc and Khuat Van Khang.

Coach Kim Sang-sik: I am very happy to win against U23 Indonesia. This was the third consecutive championship, the players did not give up, fighting until the last minutes.

Congratulations to the players, congratulations to the fans. I am very proud of my players. Although the stadium mainly has Indonesian spectators, the players still played with determination.

Striker Dinh Bac: I am very happy and joyful. This is the third consecutive championship, a stepping stone to be more successful in the upcoming period.

Reporter: What is the motivation for U23 Vietnam after this championship, sir?

Coach Kim Sang-sik: I want the players to improve their experience and abilities after this championship. The next two tournaments are very important. I want them to perform well in those two tournaments.

Striker Dinh Bac: Before the tournament, my team and I were very determined, aimed to win the championship and we did it. I am very happy, the whole team is happy. The whole team strives to get the best results, bringing the best results for Vietnamese football in the U23 Asian qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games.
