In recent days, organizing driving tests until late at night has become a familiar image at many testing centers in Ho Chi Minh City. At the Eastern Center (Long Binh Ward), many exams last from 7:30 am to over 11 pm, some days the exam Taker has to work until 1:00 am the next morning. Lighting is installed throughout the stadium, the surveillance camera system operates continuously to ensure publicity and transparency. Despite being tired from the long time, the contestants and the task force tried their best to complete their work.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Chi Cuong - Deputy Director in charge of the Eastern Driving Testing Center said that organizing the test late is to resolve a large number of backlogged documents from many months ago. According to Mr. Cuong, Ho Chi Minh City Police are currently deploying 9 inspection committees, each committee mobilizes 1213 officers, each day processing about 6,000 records, including cars and motorbikes. At the Eastern Examination Council alone, 780800 records can be processed per day.

Recorded at the competition venue, many contestants highly appreciated the service spirit of the traffic police force and the testing center. Mr. Do Dang Tu (residing in Di An ward) just finished the exam at more than 10pm, happily saying: "I have been waiting for a few months, now I am very happy with the exam. I prepared for the night exam in advance by practicing in the evening, so I was not surprised when I entered the exam. The teachers and staff here are very supportive.

Some candidates consider the test at night to be more challenging due to limited lighting conditions, but it is also a good opportunity to practice driving skills in real-life environments. "Living in night conditions forces me to concentrate more, and my reflexes are also more sensitive. I think this is a necessary experience, helping me feel more confident when I go out in the future," said Ms. Nguyen Thu Huyen (residing in Thu Duc Ward) while waiting for her turn to take the test.
The leader of the Eastern Driving Test Center added that to maintain the current high-intensity testing activities, the unit has a reasonable plan to rotate human resources, ensuring the health of test Takers and teachers. The vehicle and testing equipment are also regularly maintained, ready to serve thousands of candidates every day.

From mid-May 2025 to now, the Traffic Police Department (PC08) of Ho Chi Minh City Police has organized more than 250 exams, serving nearly 140,000 candidates. There are peak days with up to 9 exams with more than 6,000 participants. All examiners who have been trained and issued cards are mobilized to the maximum, working according to a clear assigned organization, ensuring that the exam takes place seriously and in accordance with regulations. Candidate data after finishing the exam is immediately transmitted to the Traffic Police Department to shorten the time for granting a license.
According to the plan, all outstanding documents will be resolved by Ho Chi Minh City by the end of July 2025. The Traffic Police Department also directed localities to mobilize maximum forces, creating conditions for qualified learners to participate in the test on time.
