On June 28, the Organizing Committee of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2026, co-organized by the Da Nang City People's Committee and Sun Group, officially announced the two best fireworks teams that will compete in the final night taking place on the evening of July 11.
Accordingly, with absolute consensus from the judging panel including representatives of artists, art experts and consulting units - Global2000 Company, Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd (China) team and Macedos Pirotecnia team (Portugal) won the right to compete in the DIFF 2026 final night.
The decision is made based on the scoring criteria of each team's performance based on: uniqueness, design ideas and performance theme; creativity, diversity and richness in effects and intensity of colors; music choice, synchronization between music and performance; ending and quality of performance; emotions and evaluations of the judges.
The representative of China - the defending champion of DIFF 2025 continues to affirm the position of a world fireworks power with a performance called "East Flower" which is highly appreciated for its technique, scale and ability to tell stories with light.
Throughout the competition, the team created multi-layered effects, turning the Han River sky into a lively art stage with rapid rhythms, constantly changing colors and emotional explosive moments.
The smooth combination of modern performance technology and creative thinking helped the Chinese team conquer both the judges and a large audience.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese team had an impressive return after the Most Innovative award at DIFF 2025. Portugal made a mark with their poetic and artistic performance style typical of Europe.
With the ability to skillfully handle the sky space and many new effects, the Portuguese team created one of the most highly rated performances of the season, bringing unique and different visual experiences to DIFF 2026 audiences.

Also in the meeting, the Organizing Committee conducted a draw of the performance order in the final night. Accordingly, the Portuguese team will be the first to perform and the Chinese team will be the second to perform.
With the theme "Connecting Horizons", the final night promises to bring eye-catching performances, showing the vision and aspiration to reach further of the city by the Han River.
Immediately after the announcement, the two fireworks teams will only have more than 10 days to prepare for the biggest competition night of the festival season.
