On the morning of February 22, at Bai Dinh Pagoda, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province organized the "Bai Dinh Spring Festival - Binh Ngo 2026".
It has become a tradition that every year on the 6th day of the first lunar month, Bai Dinh Pagoda (Tay Hoa Lu ward, Ninh Binh province) welcomes thousands of monks, nuns, Buddhists and pilgrims from all directions to attend festivals, worship, worship Buddha, and pray for a new year of peace and prosperity, national peace and prosperity, and favorable weather.

This year's Bai Dinh Pagoda Festival is organized in 2 parts: The ceremony part includes rituals such as offering incense to pray for national peace and prosperity, offering six offerings, commemorating the merits of National Master Nguyen Minh Khong, the Cao Son god worshiping ceremony and the Thuong Ngan Holy Mother worshiping ceremony; the festival part is rituals such as carrying a palanquin to worship Cao Son God, Duc Thanh Nguyen, Ba Chua Thuong Ngan, carrying a palanquin to the ancient pagoda and a welcoming art program.


Bai Dinh Pagoda has a thousand-year history with an area of nearly 1,900ha, is one of the famous landmarks of the ancient capital Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh. Legend has it that King Dinh Tien Hoang set up an altar to worship heaven at the beginning of spring every year to pray for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, and bumper crops, and it is also the place King Quang Trung chose to perform the flag worshiping ceremony, encouraging generals and soldiers before advancing to Thang Long to defeat the Qing army.
