In an interview, director Luu Gia Thanh said that he was quite worried at first when Duong Mich was chosen to play the main role of Ninh Tu Tu in " synch Van Tu", because of the difference in real life of the actress compared to the image of a farming woman.
Ninh Tu Tu is a character that screenwriter Vuong Ha is very passionate about. She created a separate prequel for Tu Tu - who attended a private school since childhood, was intelligent and eager to learn.
"Binh Van Tu" is set in rural areas, but Tu Tu's initial background was the daughter of a wealthy landlord, carrying the outstanding charisma of a modern woman.

But director Luu Gia Thanh said that the filming was not up to standard and explained: "Let's try it again with another emotion. Tu Tu must try to hold back and not cry, at least don't look too sorry. Because she is facing the enemy of Ma Tu, even if there are tears, it must be a tear that contains hatred".
Listening to the instructions, Duong Mich immediately understood and successfully executed the scene on her only return. This is also the final version on screen.
When the film aired, Duong Mich sent a message of thanks to the director for instructing her. She also often discusses with the director about the advantages and disadvantages of acting and how to improve herself, which makes the director very emotional.
