Within the framework of the Northwest - Dien Bien Quintessence Festival 2025, on Vo Nguyen Giap Street (from 7-5 Square to Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument), the street festival with the theme "Northwest Quintessence" has become a vibrant art stage.
Accordingly, the street space is colorful with cultural groups performing.
Nearly 1,000 people, from civil servants, public employees, artisans, actors to students, performed alongside them to perform graceful folk songs and dances, showing off their beauty in traditional national costumes.
Not only a performance stage, the street space is also a place where tourists and residents directly exchange and experience highland culture.
The Khen sounds and dances blend together, creating a multi-son, multi-colored picture imbued with the cultural identity of the highlands.
Ms. Quang Thi Xuan (58 years old, Thai ethnic group, Thanh An commune, Dien Bien) said: "I am very happy to bring the most typical cultural features of my ethnic group to the public. This is an opportunity for the younger generation to love and appreciate the heritage of their ancestors, while promoting the beauty of Dien Bien".
Among the festival participants, Quang Thi Hai Yen (student of Thanh Chan High School, Thanh Nua commune) said: "Wearing traditional costumes and blending into the dance of our ethnic group in such a large space is an extremely memorable experience. I feel proud of my national cultural identity".

The Northwest - Dien Bien Quintessence Festival 2025 is a key activity in the Tourism Development Cooperation Program between the Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.
The event is organized with the goal of building a unique and unique tourism brand " quintessence of the Northwest" rich in identity, to honor the beauty of the land, culture and people of the ethnic groups in the Northwest region to expand to attract tourists.

It is estimated that in 2025, the expanded Northwestern provinces will welcome over 35.5 million visitors, an increase of 5 times compared to 2021.
In addition to the opening night, within the framework of the Festival, visitors can also participate in many activities, such as: displaying tourist destinations of the expanded Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City; Northwest Food Festival; beautiful photo exhibition "Northwestern Colors" and art exchange program on the evening of September 21.
The Northwest - Dien Bien Quintessence Festival in 2025, will take place until September 21, in Dien Bien Phu ward.
The expanded Northwest region includes the provinces of Son La, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Dien Bien.
