The program is chaired by the Central Propaganda Department, in coordination with the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned to the Military Radio and Television Center (Vietnam National Defense Television Channel) and other agencies and units to organize.
The program idea originated from the story of events during the days of taking over the Capital. On the morning of September 19, 1954, after burning incense to commemorate the Hung Kings, President Ho Chi Minh had a historic meeting with officers and soldiers of the Vanguard Army Corps at the Gieng Temple yard.
Uncle Ho spoke and assigned the task to the officers and soldiers of the Corps to take over the capital Hanoi. At the end of the talk, Uncle Ho advised: "The Hung Kings had the merit of building the country, you and I must work together to protect the country."
His advice to the Vanguard Army Corps is a call to arms of the country that has been deeply imprinted in the minds of every generation of people, expressing the great thoughts of a great man about building and defending the country.
At the press conference, Colonel Pham Van Tu, Deputy Director of the Military Radio and Television Center, affirmed that this is a program with profound humanistic significance, a political activity, educating about tradition and history, helping audiences nationwide experience a difficult but very proud and glorious journey of the Vietnamese people.
"The program is also a reminder and gratitude of today's generation for the heroic and indomitable sacrifices of many generations of ancestors, for the country's independence and freedom.
President Ho Chi Minh's advice to the officers and soldiers of the Vanguard Army Corps at Gieng Temple before returning to take over the capital affirmed an eternal truth of the Vietnamese people: building the country must go hand in hand with defending the country," the Colonel emphasized.
As expected, the program "Together to protect the country" will gather nearly 500 artists and actors with the participation of many famous artists such as People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Hong Hanh, People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, the collective of artists and actors of the Army Song and Dance Theater and the Army Ceremonial Band...
Along with the special art performances, the program will combine modern 3D mapping projection technology, laser light... and live performance. In particular, high-end surround sound technology (SoundScape) is introduced for the first time in an art program in the North.
The MC is the narrator with reports and thematic lines interspersed between high-quality performances. The program's report also includes a space for Vietnamese ceramics and tea, where ceramic and tea artisans will tell the country's historical stories through ceramic and tea works.
Mr. Vu Dinh Manh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bat Trang Ceramic Space also revealed: "We prepared 9 works associated with 9 historical stories, heroic milestones, and feats of the Ho Chi Minh era. Our desire is to tell stories of historical value through ceramic art."
The ceramic space and tea space will open to welcome guests at Thang Long Imperial Citadel from November 15.
