The Women's Traditional Festival of Le Chan is held annually to arouse national pride and the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source"; to pay tribute to the great merits of Women's Artist Le Chan - who opened the village and built the ancient An Bien village - today's Hai Phong city. At the same time, continue to promote the value of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage - Traditional Festival of Mrs. Le Chan, National Historical and Cultural Relic of Nghe Temple, National Architectural and Artistic Relic of Dinh An Bien.
Through the festival activities, continue to promote and advertise the traditional cultural values of the festival, spiritual tourism destinations in the city in general, Le Chan District in particular to tourists inside and outside the city.
This year, the opening ceremony of the festival takes place at 8:00 p.m. on March 7 (ie February 8, At Ty year). In particular, the opening ceremony included the content of receiving the National Treasure "Nghe Temple Metallurgy Ministry". The Nghe Temple metal artifacts, dating back to the early 20th century, currently kept at Hai Phong Museum, is one of 33 artifacts and groups of artifacts recognized by the Prime Minister as a National Treasure for the last time in 2024.
The Hai Phong City Department of Transport announced the temporary traffic organization during the Le Chan General Traditional Festival. Accordingly, from 12:00 on March 5 to the end of March 7, vehicles are prohibited from traveling on the level crossing to organize the festival. From 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on March 7, vehicles are prohibited from circulating, stopping, or parking on the routes according to the convoy route. During the temporary traffic organization, cars will be allowed to travel in one direction, motorbikes will travel in two directions: Quang Trung - Nguyen Duc Canh - Tran Nguyen Han - Hai Ba Trung.
