In the atmosphere of welcoming Binh Ngo Spring and celebrating the founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Hoi An organizes a series of unique cultural and tourism activities named "Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 Festival". The event takes place throughout from mid-December to the end of the first lunar month, to honor the value of traditional Tet, preserve cultural heritage and serve the spring joy needs of people and tourists in the Hoi An Creative Heritage City space.


Starting with the 10th Cam Ha ornamental kumquat tree festival with activities introducing traditional kumquat growing, displaying OCOP products, local agricultural products and food fairs. The event contributes to preserving traditional crafts, creating sustainable livelihoods and promoting typical products of Hoi An.
Next, the Binh Ngo Spring Flower Festival brings a space to display flowers, ornamental plants, and ornamental creatures, becoming a familiar sightseeing, photography, and shopping spot every Tet occasion. In parallel, the "Cay Neu ngay Tet" contest is widely organized at historical sites and residential areas, contributing to restoring traditional beliefs and creating a Tet space imbued with community identity.
The experiential activity "Old Tet space in Hoi An" at the Hoi An Museum recreates the traditional Tet market with performances of making cakes, jams, writing calligraphy, making lanterns, folk games. On New Year's Eve, the Old Quarter is bustling with the Sac bua procession wishing spring, art programs and high-altitude fireworks displays, spreading a joyful atmosphere and connecting the community.
In addition, festivals associated with craft villages and agriculture such as Bong Tra Que Bridge, Kim Bong, Cam Nam Sticky corn and a series of Bai Choi, Hat Boi, folk games activities continue to affirm the depth of Hoi An culture. The 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year Festival is expected to fully recreate the traditional Tet space, contributing to positioning Hoi An as a living heritage city, developing sustainably based on cultural foundations.
