On September 4, Jisoo (Blackpink) officially released "Click" - the opening single for her first solo studio album.
According to Hankook Ilbo, this is Jisoo's new solo product after about 11 months, since "Eyes Closed" collaborated with Zayn in October 2025. This song once helped the female idol reach the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
With "Click", Jisoo continues to expand her musical color after separating personal activities from YG Entertainment and establishing her own company Blissoo.
The company said that the song tells the story of two people who know that they should not be attracted by each other but still cannot stop the vibrations. The product uses controlled synthesizer sound combined with bass lines to create a continuous rhythm.
The MV "Click" is made by Joseph Kahn. The Korean-American director has won a Grammy Award and is behind many MVs by international artists.
Right from the introduction, Jisoo appears at an old amusement park, with mysterious colors and using images that evoke horror movies. This is also a different image from the feminine colors that have appeared in her previous solo products.
According to the plan, Jisoo will successively introduce singles with different styles before completing the first long album. This release method helps the female singer extend the promotion process, while gradually shaping the color for the new project.
Jisoo started solo activities in 2023 with the single album "Me". The title track "Flower" created an effect on many charts and social networks.
After Blackpink did not extend their personal contract with YG Entertainment, Jisoo founded Blissoo to manage her own activities. In addition to music, she spends a lot of time acting and fashion projects.
Notably, "Click" was released at a time when Blackpink members continuously introduced personal products.
On the same day, September 4th, Lisa released the single "Sawadika", while Jennie just introduced the digital EP "Fallen Angel" on August 28th. Therefore, the members continue to have their own development directions in parallel with Blackpink's general activities.
For Jisoo, the upcoming album marks a notable turning point. Three years after officially debuting solo, the female singer is making a long studio album for the first time, instead of limiting it to single albums or solo products.
After "Click", the next singles will show more clearly the direction Jisoo's music chose for her debut solo album.
