Hello JSOL! "Lang" (Autumn passes) marks the milestone of debut solo. But then, he became more known with the image of a "hot boy picking vegetables" through a clip of picking vegetables while covering the famous song "Rain Girl" on social networks. At that time, what were your feelings?
- First, I am happy that the audience remembers and loves my content. JSOL thinks that the music journey is not a day or two, as long as I maintain the spirit of professionalism and work hard to make products, there is nothing to worry about. JSOL always believes that one day my music will conquer the audience.
Many songs reach tens of millions of views but the audience cannot remember the name of the singer. Does that make you feel sad or doubt the path you are taking?
- As a singer, a song that has been watched and listened to many times proves that my music has conquered the audience, that is success. Instead of doubting myself, I see it as motivation to strive to move forward.
After nearly 10 years, JSOL has become a member of the group MOPIUS. What do these pieces mean to you?
- The biggest meaning is to fulfill the wish for 10 years. The members of the group are all talented and compatible, so when they created MOPIUS together, JSOL feels like he has touched another milestone in his music career. Recently, MOPIUS just released the song "Design", and hopes to be enjoyed and welcomed by the audience.
Some opinions say that JSOL's name is "familiar", or more known than MOPIUS. What do you think about this?
- In terms of professional experience, I have 8 years, and MOPIUS is just beginning. So, it is too early to conclude. I see MOPIUS is developing well.
Last September, JSOL officially released its debut Mini Album "OE OE". How did the pregnancy and album implementation process go?
- "OE OE" is not only my debut Mini Album in my career, but also the spiritual child JSOL has cherished for a long time. After "graduating" from the program "Hello Brother 2024", I came up with the idea of implementing a project marking a milestone for my music career and "OE OE" has started like that.
In the early days of making the Mini Album, I determined that these would be music stories with the clearest spirit of JSOL: Fun, full of energy and close to the audience accompanying me. JSOL is very proud of this product from music, concept, message... I am also very happy when it is released, "OE OE" has received positive feedback from the audience.
What genre of music and artists influenced the new album? Who helped you the most during the production process?
- The main music genre of this Mini Album is POP, but there is a combination of many genres to create diversity and unity in terms of music in the Mini Album. Examples include: R&B (Wheeling), POP Funk (Pasting Eyes), Hiphop Funk (Lazy), POP Ballad (Knowing Things), POP Hiphop (Genie) and POP (Not You, Not Anyone) combined with Son.K.
This album will be difficult to complete without Khac Hung. He is a Music Producer who has accompanied JSOL for a long time. Besides Khac Hung, JSOL also wants to send thanks to other artist brothers who have helped and collaborated with him: Anh Hoang Ton, Anh Gin Tran (Director), Son.K... and many other members in the project.
What did you learn after making this album about the quality and popularity of this music product that satisfied you?
- With "OE OE" is not only satisfaction but also pride. Pride because I reached the destination of the project. When making this mini album, the biggest thing I learned was to believe in the word "Patience". Everything in life needs its time, early is not enough, late is not enough, everything needs to be at the right time. And to wait for that time, I need to be patient with myself, with what I am doing.
Many times JSOL wanted to give up because he lost patience with himself, but received patience from those around him for him. There were nights working very late, JSOL still received many messages from fans comforting and encouraging me to stay healthy and try harder. Those things are extremely meaningful to me.
