Actor Kim Seon Ho, along with Kim Yoon Seok and Ahn Eun Jin, will participate in tvN's upcoming drama, "God Bless the Assemblyman", which is expected to start filming from next week.
According to Maeil Business Star Today on April 3, the film crew directed by director Park Shin Woo and written by screenwriter Kwon Jong Kwan has completed the casting, including Ryu Kyung Soo, and recently held the first script reading session.
Based on the famous internet novel of the same name, the film tells the story of Gu Young Jin (Kim Yoon Seok), a powerful six-term National Assembly member, who committed suicide in 2008 and became a ghost. He wakes up in 1998 - 10 years ago and collaborates with Cha Jae Rim (Kim Seon Ho), a low-ranking civil servant who can see ghosts, to take over the National Assembly.

In the film, Kim Seon Ho plays Cha Jae Rim, who from a low-ranking official becomes a political star thanks to the help of the ghost Gu Young Jin. Kim Yoon Seok transforms into Gu Young Jin, a powerful MP returning to the past in the form of a ghost to rewrite history with Cha Jae Rim. Ahn Eun Jin appears especially in the role of Gu Seung Hee, Gu Young Jin's daughter.
Director Park Shin Woo, famous for the works "Don't dare to dream", "It's okay to not be okay", "Encounter and our unwritten seoul", directs the project, while screenwriter Kwon Jong Kwan (famous for the movie "The price of confession") is responsible for the script.
God bless the assemblyman" promises to be an attractive fantasy political film project, combining ghostly elements with political strategy and being especially anticipated by Korean audiences and international fans.
Recently, Kim Seon Ho was suspected of establishing a "ghost" company to evade taxes, similar to the case of Cha Eun Woo. The actor admitted his mistakes, apologized to the public and paid additional taxes, affirming that he had no intention of cheating.
The incident seriously affected his reputation and could have legal consequences. Many fans are worried about Kim Seon Ho's new film projects.
