On April 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City announced that the Da Nang Ao Dai Festival 2026 will take place from April 24-26 in the Han River area (No. 40 - 42 Bach Dang). The event aims to contribute to positioning Da Nang as a city of intersection between heritage and creativity as well as towards diversifying event products to serve tourism development.
Through the festival, Da Nang aims for a new approach to Ao Dai, from symbolic value to usable value, from performance space to daily life. From there, contributing to building the image of a creative, friendly and rich cultural destination. The festival aims to make Ao Dai a daily applicable outfit, promoting heritage values through connection with modern needs. This is also an open creative space, promoting the participation of designers, artisans, businesses and the community in product development, promotion and use of Ao Dai.
The festival will have activities such as the ao dai parade "Da Nang Imprint", the performance program "Hoi An - Colors of Silk", experience space, on-site tailoring, art show "Han River Reunion"... A series of activities to respond to spreading the spirit of connection and sharing through programs such as "Connecting Ao Dai - Connecting Friendship", "Ao Dai - Connecting Love", along with community activities such as wearing ao dai, check-in with communication messages.
