The audience's mixed comments about "maid" Thuy Tien and second wife Thien An made the producer of "Linh Mieu - Quy nhap trang" decide to release a scene where Thuy Tien and Thien An act with their eyes.
This is considered one of the pivotal scenes that initiates the confrontation between Phuong (Thuy Tien) and My Kim (Thien An), as well as paving the way for the continuous supernatural phenomena that befall the Duong Phuc family.
In the segment released by the producer of “Linh Mieu - Quy nhap trang”, Thien An shows two contrasting images just through her eyes. A few seconds ago, she brought the image of a gentle mother. Then, she showed the audience her fear and anxiety when Gia Cuong (little Bao Duy) suddenly appeared next to Phuong.
Although Thuy Tien only appeared in a short scene, with her haunting eyes, she partly portrayed the scheming personality of the maid.
“Perhaps because she has a young child, Thien An shows a great maternal instinct in the character My Kim. Scenes such as talking to her child, taking care of her child, and comforting her child are portrayed very well by Thien An, very full and very deep so that the audience can easily feel a mother who loves her child and wants to do everything for her child” - director Luu Thanh Luan shared.
As for Thuy Tien, production and creative director Vo Thanh Hoa said: “Tien coming to Phuong is like an irreplaceable choice. Tien has toughness, sincerity, natural acting and sometimes in Tien’s eyes there is also coldness and mystery. And those are all the elements that the character Phuong needs.”
Thien An shared about the role: “To me, My Kim is a blameworthy but also pitiful person. As a wife and mother, My Kim is a pitiful woman when all she does is simply want to protect her family, the position of her husband and children and satisfy the family customs set by her mother-in-law.
As a woman, I find her blameworthy because she started out as a good person but let her confidence and goodness be defeated and she did things recklessly.
Thuy Tien shared: “Although the film has officially been released, I am still nervous and tense. I know I have many shortcomings, I think there are some scenes I could have done better, nurturing the character's psychology more deeply.
But I hope that with what I bring, the audience will sympathize and accompany Phuong's journey, a person who has gone through many events but still believes in goodness...".
