On August 14, Lisa posted a message on a fan communication platform, mentioning the debates surrounding Blackpink's 10th anniversary of debut.
The female singer said she was sad and apologized because the incident did not go as expected. According to Lisa, this should have been a special moment for Blackpink and the Blink community to celebrate together.
I don't write these things to justify or defend my point of view. I just want to appreciate the love and connection that we have shared," Lisa expressed.
Blackpink debuted on August 8, 2016. On the occasion of their 10th anniversary of operation, the group organized a fan meeting at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul on August 8, 2026.
However, the plan was only announced two days in advance and limited to 40 attendees. Initial information has not yet fully confirmed which members will appear, causing a part of the audience to think that the event was prepared hastily, not commensurate with the milestone of the famous girl group.
Finally, Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie and Rosé all participated. The group held a live broadcast lasting about 10 minutes, then met directly with the selected fans.
Debates continued as some Blinks expressed disappointment with the duration, scale of the program and gifts for attendees. A video recording images of Jisoo emotionally wiping away tears when leaving the event was also widely shared.
Before Lisa, Jisoo apologized because fans did not have a full experience on the anniversary. She said she was also human, not a "robot", and asked the audience not to attribute too much speculation to the moment she shed tears.
Rosé later admitted that she also looked forward to the 10-year milestone and regretted the way the event took place. The female singer explained that she needed time to arrange her thoughts because she understood the feeling of disappointment of fans.
Meanwhile, Jennie shared intimate photos of the four members along with a handwritten message thanking Blink for loving, trusting and accompanying them throughout a decade.
With the latest apology, Lisa became the third member to directly mention the disappointment surrounding the event. The female singer affirmed that she still cherishes the feelings between Blackpink and Blink, and thanks fans for always being with the group.
