The fire at the factory of a sofa manufacturing company occurred at about 10:20 PM on August 13th in Dong Chieu A neighborhood, Di An ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Initial information, at the above time, people discovered a fire breaking out inside the factory of a sofa manufacturing company near Doan Thi Kia street, Dong Chieu A neighborhood, Di An ward.
People shouted to each other to use on-site vehicles to put out the fire but failed. The fire flared up strongly every time, beyond the control of the people.
At the scene, the fire gradually spread, the fire was large with a column of smoke rising high. The fire threatened to spread to surrounding households. People panicked and had to move away from the fire to ensure safety.
Upon receiving the news, Ho Chi Minh City Police dispatched many specialized fire trucks and officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. Di An Ward functional forces also quickly arrived to regulate traffic through the area and participate in firefighting.
About 30 minutes later, the fire was basically under control, functional forces are cordoning off the fire to completely extinguish the fire.
At 11:15 PM, talking to reporters, the leader of Di An Ward Police said that the fire had been controlled, preventing it from spreading to people's houses.
