On February 28, Muong Bo commune organized the Muong Bo Spring Colors Festival 2026 with many unique cultural activities, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.
From early morning, the Festival Center - Cultural House area of Muong Bo commune was bustling with laughter, music and the colors of traditional costumes of ethnic minorities. The joyful atmosphere of the first days of the new year spread throughout the festival space.
The opening program with opening ceremonies, introducing delegates and the meaning of the festival. Leaders of Muong Bo commune performed the opening drumming ceremony in the response of the people.
Within the framework of the event, many cultural and artistic activities and folk games are organized such as the art program "Muong Bo Spring Colors", crop praying rituals, peace praying at the beginning of the year, stick pushing contest, crossbow shooting... The contents are elaborately prepared, imbued with local cultural identity, creating highlights to attract tourists.
The highlight of this year's festival is the grand xoè performance with the participation of 568 people. The xoè circle gathers artisans, teachers, students and a large number of local people, creating a symbolic image of community solidarity and cultural vitality of the highlands.
