It has been 16 years since the success of the Korean movie "The man from nowhere" released in 2010, actor Won Bin has not returned with any film or television work to date.
In the program "Kim Ju Ha's day & night" broadcast on MBN on June 27, veteran actor Park Geun Hyung shared about Won Bin's long absence.
Park Geun Hyung recalled his collaboration with Won Bin in the TV series "Kkokji" in 2000. At that time, he strictly asked the actor to cut his hair and diligently practice pronunciation. Won Bin listened to advice, made efforts to train and then rose to become one of the leading stars of Korea.
The veteran actor said he felt very sorry to see Won Bin waste his talent and always advised his junior to return to acting soon.

Hearing this, MC Kim Ju Ha, who has a close relationship with Won Bin, recounted a private conversation with the actor, thereby revealing part of the reason for his absence for the past 16 years.
According to her, Won Bin believes that his image in "The man from nowhere" is too symbolic, making him not receive many suitable invitations for new roles. She also said that Won Bin is currently wearing long hair and waiting to see which character will suit him in the near future.
Hearing that, Park Geun Hyung advised Won Bin to boldly try new roles, with more depth and weight to refresh his image.
Currently, Won Bin mainly appears in television commercials. The actor born in 1977 married actress Lee Na Young, who is 2 years younger, in 2015 and they have a son.
To date, many fans as well as seniors in the acting industry still hope Won Bin will return to the screen soon.
In March, Won Bin's wife attracted attention when sharing everyday stories in their marriage.
Lee Na Young said that Won Bin, although not acting in movies, always supports his wife's career. He was very excited about the movie "Honour" starring her, which aired in February this year.
Speaking about Won Bin not having a new work for more than a decade, Lee Na Young said: "He still has a great passion for acting. We are all grateful that people still remember and care about him.
