Minh Du said that after the incident, he made a record and asked the authorities to resolve the case related to Phan Dat.
"When I heard Phan Dat posted those statuses, I didn't think much about it. However, when I heard many news sites and newspapers posting the news, I received many messages from the audience. They used derogatory language, I saw the impact on my family so I needed to speak up" - Minh Du said.
According to Minh Du, he was invited by the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City to work to answer the Phan Dat case.
Minh Du said that according to the department's content, Phan Dat admitted that the account that posted the series of noisy events that caused the audience to curse Minh Du recently was Phan Dat's account. However, Phan Dat denied what was posted on social media related to actor Minh Du. Phan Dat proactively removed the posted information for fear of affecting individuals and organizations.
Minh Du added that he himself did not know the purpose of the information Mr. Phan Dat posted. "Mr. Phan Dat said that although he did not mention Minh Du, the information posted still affected me. I have not received an apology yet," the actor said.
Previously, Minh Du was involved in a private scandal. The incident originated from an account believed to belong to music producer Phan Dat, which spoke out to allude to 3 people: Minh Du, Hoang Phi, and Nam Thu.
Phan Dat said that this was the trio that made him extremely disappointed when living and working together in a theater. The content also implied that Minh Du had organized "wild parties", played with his assistant and spoke ill of others. After that, this person also implied that Minh Du had a reputation for bullying young colleagues and being ungrateful to those who helped him.
The incident caused Minh Du to be severely criticized and he spoke up to ask the authorities to intervene.
In a written response to actor Minh Du on October 24 from the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City, the department said that Mr. Phan Dat was the account owner who posted the status that caused the recent uproar. And at the meeting with the department, Mr. Phan Dat said that the post was not related to actor Minh Du and he had removed the post.
